Gallipoli & Troy Tours

Itinerary

This 2 day tour, starts and ends in Istanbul, Turkey. This tour starts with a Gallipoli Battlefields Tour which explores all the major battlefields of the ANZAC sector of the World War 1 Gallipoli campaign. Day 2 visits ancient Troy of Helen and Paris fame and scene of Homer's 'The Iliad', the battle of Troy and the Trojan Horse'. This tour is available in 3, 4 or 5 star acommodation.

2 - Day itinerary

Day 1
 

Istanbul - Troy Tour View our Kylie gets the imagination cranking whilst roaming around ancient Troy. [0:20]

Pick up between 6:15 am - 6:45 am from your hotel in the old city of Istanbul or Taksim, we then depart for an afternoon tour of Troy. Crossing the Dardanelles on the new 1915 Canakkale Bridge, the world's longest suspension bridge. After visiting the newly built Troy Museum, we step back in time today as we visit Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan Horse from the times of beautiful Helen, the Queen of Sparta, and Paris, the Trojan Prince.

Day 2
 

Gallipoli Battlefields - Istanbul View our Kylie takes a pilgrimage to Gallipoli to tour the battlefields where the ANZACs fought with the British against the Turkish in World War 1, better known as the Gentlemans War. [2:02]

This morning we then depart for our tour of Gallipoli. The World War I battlefields of Gallipoli are now a serene site. Visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, Ari Burnu Cemetery, Johnston's Jolly (where you'll visit original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels), 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial and The Nek. Return to Istanbul.

Notes

Please Note :
1. Group Size : Minimum Group Size of 2. Maximum Group Size of 20.
2. Age : Minimum Age of 8. Whilst there is no Maximum Age set it is assumed the customer is fit enough to take part in the activity or tour. Health documents may be requested.
3. Single travellers are obliged to pay Single Supplement and will have the hotel room to themselves.
4. This tour does not depart when to would be at Gallipoli during the 'Anzac Day' period between 23 - 26 April. See our ANZAC Day Gallipoli Tours page to see our range of ANZAC Day tours.
5. Customers may be picked up from their hotel where it is located in, or near Sultanahmet (the old city) or in the Taksim area. Pick up, on Day 1, is between 6:15 am and 6:45 am depending on where there hotel is located.
6. Please advise us of your pick up location upon booking, or at the latest 48 hours before-hand, so that we can confirm your pick up time.
7. Return time is 10 pm but depends on the prevailing traffic conditions.
